Review of the HP Compaq mini 110c-1100 laptop

The laptop has the following specification

Processor: Intel Atom N270 1.6 Ghz
Ram: 1 GB possible to upgrade to 2GB
Hard drive: 150 GB
Size: 10 inch
Webcam: Yes
Bluetooth: No

I have been using the laptop for almost one year now and it has been working out pretty good for the purpose that i bought it for.

The laptop has conveniently three usb ports, two on the right side and one on the left side , it has a single VGA cable connector on the right as well as the a LAN port. The is a built in mike and webcam that is present at the top of the LCD screen. There are two slide buttons at the front of the laptop and one of them turns it one and the other turns on the wireless internet.

The laptop runs pretty decent for regular application and web browsing , i normally have open around 20 tabs at a time in my browser and the laptop seems to perform well. The thing that really bugged me about the laptop is the quality of the webcam. For a portable device i expect the cam should be of some decent quality, however the output through the cam is often dark and not well adjusted to the lighting condition.

I also used the laptop with a second display connected and extended my desktop to two displays. I was able to do my regular work on the laptop and it did not slow down to the point where it was unbearable, it was noticeably a bit slower but not excessively.

The size of the laptop is perfect enough for me to throw it in my bag like a book i was carrying and it did not feel bulky.

Overall a great product, with a RAM upgrade, Bluetooth and better webcam quality it would be perfect.
